IMAGE BROWSER

The Lettering Delights Supreme Image Browser is a unique tool that lets you easily scroll through the various images on your screen, change to a different feature, adjust your page layout and print. You also have the option to preview the color images and alphabets and copy them into a clipboard inside the program, or to the Windows Clipboard for us in other programs.


QUICK TOUR

Clicking the Quick Tour button is a great way to learn the program. The tours will walk you through various features and go step by step to help you learn. It will actually show you (not just give instructions). You can play them as often as you like. When trying a new feature, check to see if there is a Quick Tour available to help make it easier.


BUTTONS

 Color Alphabets  This option allows you to choose from the list of  Alphabets on the right side of the image browser.
 Clipart  Select the image of your choice from those available in  the program.
 Mix & Match  This feature allows you to select and type in more than  one Alphabet. Select an Alphabet and click on the letter  you want (don't type the letter on the keyboard). Repeat  the process for each letter of your word or phrase. Click  on the Space button to place a space between words. If  you make a mistake, you can click on the Backspace  button or hit the Clear button to start over.
 Enhancements  Add to your Lettering Delights Supreme program with  these innovations. Check online at
 www.LetteringDelights.com for information regarding  availability of these enhancements.
 Print Preview  Takes you to the print page.
 Open  Open a previously saved Lettering Delights Supreme  page layout or open an image.
 Save  Save an image or page layout for use at a later time.  The saved files can only be opened in Lettering Delights  Supreme.
 Copy  Copy an image to the Windows clipboard.
 Clear Clipboard  Clears the image from the selected clipboard.
 Clear All  Clipboards  Clears the images from all of the clipboards.
 Preview / Effects  Opens an Alphabet, Mix & Match or clipart image in a  larger view. The effects alter the image (Hue, saturation,  contrast, etc.).

 Toggle on and off the Tips and Hints view.
 Quick Tour  Select from various tours to familiarize yourself with the  image browser and it's features.

 Size  Change the size of an image on the print page. (Button  shown only in the print page)
 Trash  Delete a selected image from the print page. (Button  shown only in the print screen.)
 Cut  Cut image from the print page to the Windows  clipboard. (Button shown only in the print screen.)
 Paste  Paste an image from the Windows Clipboard to the  print page. (Button shown only in the print  screen.)
 Printer Setup  Select printer or printing options (such as landscape,  portrait etc.). (Button shown only in the print screen.)

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE ALPHABETS AND PRINT THEM FROM THE BROWSER
1. Click on the Alphabet button .
2. Choose the lettering style you want from the list of Alphabets on the right side of the image browser.
3. Click your mouse in the box labeled "Type here" and type a word or phrase (remember the 30 character limit). Hit the enter key on your keyboard to display your text in the selected Alphabet.
4. Click the Add bar next to the displayed Alphabet, and your words or phrase will appear on the LD Supreme's Alphabet clipboard on the bottom left of the screen. At this point the text is made into an image.
5. If you place your mouse cursor over the typed text, it will turn into a magnifying glass with cross hairs If you click this, it will take you to the Effects Page. You can also get to the Effects Page by clicking on the Preview / Effects button
. You need to have added the typed Alphabet to the program's clipboard for the Preview Effects button to work. Make the desired changes to image. Click here for more information regarding the Effects Page.
6. Click the Print button
. When the print preview page appears, click the clipboard at the bottom of the screen that has a sample of your typed text. The text image should appear on the print preview page.
7. Click once on the image to get the editing border to appear around it. You can then drag the image to position it on the page, or you can make it larger or smaller by dragging the border tabs with your mouse pointer. Dragging from the corner tabs will resize the image while maintaining its proportions. You can add as many images as will fit on the page. Note that each time you add an image, it will be placed in the center of the page. If you add multiple images without moving them, they will stack up on top of each other in the center of the page. If this happens, just drag each image aside until they are all separated. 8. Click the Print button
to start the printing process.

PREVIEW / EFFECTS PAGE

This is where some of the most powerful features of the Lettering Delights Supreme program are found. You can manipulate the images to change color, brightness etc. Here is an explanation of the Effects buttons:

 Hue  Use this option to change the color of the image.
 Saturation  This option displays the amount of color to be added to the  image.
 Copy  Copy image to the Windows Clipboard.
 Brightness  Adjust the brightness of the image.
 Contrast  Intensify the difference between the light and dark areas of  the image
 Sharpness  Add a blur effect to the image.
 Paint Effect  Make the image appear painted.
 Flip  Flip image from top to bottom.
 Reverse  Reverse image left to right.
 Apply  Apply the effects to the image on the program's clipboard.  You remain in the Effects Page to make more changes.
 OK/Close  Save effects applied to the image on the program's  clipboard. Exit out of the Effects Page
 Close/Cancel  Close the Effect Page. Cancel any changes.

CLIPART IMAGES

Everyone loves a picture. To select a clipart image do the following:
1. Click on the Clipart icon. This should display the available clipart images.
2. Click on the View Black & White Clipart icon to view the images in black and white. To return to the color images, click on the View

icon.
3. Use the scroll bar in the right side window to see thumbnail views of all the images available. Select an image.

SEARCH

Use this feature to find specific images in Lettering Delights Supreme. To search for a specific image do the following:
1. Type in a search word and click the Search icon. The results of your search will appear in the image list window. Click on an image to select it. If no search results were found you will get a message saying so. Then, either enter or select another key word to search for, or click the Refresh icon to view all of the selected category images. Note: The search feature will locate all images that have all or part of your search word in it's name.

MIX & MATCH

New to Lettering Delights Supreme is the ability to use multiple Alphabets in the same phrase (or word). This fun feature is called Mix &Match. To use this feature do the following:

1. Click on the Mix N Match button .
2. Select an Alphabet from the box on the right side of the image browser.
3. Click on a letter of the Alphabet (don't type it on the keyboard). That letter should display at the bottom of the image browser.
4. Repeat the process for each letter of your word or phrase. Click on the Space button to place a space between words.
5. If you would like another line click on New Line
and add the letters you want (note you will not see the new line until you add text).
Note: If you make a mistake, you can click on the Backspace button to delete the last letter, or hit the Clear button to start over.

PRINTING
Click the Printer Setup button to change printers or the options of the printer (such as printing in portrait or landscape orientation, etc.).

To add items to the print page, click on the clipboard below the print screen that has the desired text image. It will then appear on the screen. To add the same text image more than once, Click on the same clipboard multiple times. Note, each time you add an image, it will be placed in the center of the page. If you add multiple images without moving them, they will stack up on top of each other in the center of the page. If this happens, just drag each image aside until they are all separated.

To move the image on your page, click on the image and drag it to the desired location. To size an image, click once on the image and drag the border tabs in or out. You can keep the image from stretching out of shape by dragging the corner tabs when changing image size.

To remove an image from the page, select an image and click the Delete key on your keyboard or click on the Delete Selected Image icon . Click the Clear All Images icon to erase the entire page.

If you have multiple images on the screen, the Bring Image to Front icon allows you to move an image to the front. To do this select the image you want brought forward and then click on the Bring Image to Front icon.

TEXTBOX

Clicking on the TextBox icon will bring up a Textbox toolbar.
With your mouse on the print page, click and hold your left mouse button and drag the text box to the desired size. Then type text and it will appear inside the box. By double clicking on the textbox area you created, you will see the Textbox toolbar. The buttons on the toolbar allow you to change fonts, font size, add a border and add attributes (like bold, italic & underline). You can also justify the text left, center or right. Note, this Textbox icon is only available inside the print page.
Please note the grey background in the Textbox is for your reference only and it will not print.

HELP

Clicking the Help icon will bring up the following options:

Technical Support Information: Displays contact information for Inspire Graphics web, e-mail and fax support.

About: Shows the Lettering Delights Supreme Image Browser information.

Helps and Hints: Brings up the help file in the Windows default HTML browser.

Exit: Click Exit to close Help.
